Interactive Expert and Kerry Campaign Online Strategist Joins Virilion

WASHINGTON, DC - April 7, 2008. Melissa Boasberg has just joined the full-service interactive agency of Virilion as Vice President.
During the 2004 Kerry Presidential campaign, Melissa helped lead John Kerry’s online efforts which raised the unprecedented amount of $82 million online, shattering all previous records.

Right after the 2004 election, Melissa was responsible for helping launch the Friends of John Kerry and Keeping America’s Promise. At these organizations, she directed both marketing and grassroots strategy and oversaw all Internet, direct mail and grassroots operations. In this capacity, she was responsible for managing a database of 3 million people.
Melissa is a former COO and CEO of Amazing Media, an online, self-serve advertising software company in Fairfax, Virginia, and before that, she spent three years as an executive for Disney Online, where she launched and then ran the division’s international efforts. She received degrees from Yale University and the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
