Programmer
Full-time permanent position.
Location: DC, Austin or BostonWork with one of the nation’s premier online communications firms providing effective online strategies and solutions for public affairs campaigns. Its clients include many of the nation’s leading associations, coalitions, non-profit organizations, corporations, and foundations working on a broad range of issues. REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related major
• 3-5 years of relevant technology experience;
• Proficient with PHP or ColdFusion;
• Experience with Apache is a plus;
• Comfortable with Unix, database driven web environments;
• Experience in a MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL or PostgreSQL environment;
• Experience estimating level of effort for technical work;
• Candidate must be familiar with all phases of the software development lifecycle;
• Manage requirements, design, schedule, and project documentation;
• Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical individuals;
• Microsoft certification is a plusSUMMARY

Our Account Management team is responsible for making everything happen. They plan, lead, and manage all our clients’ projects and make sure that we deliver great work. As an Account Manager, you would be responsible for leading clients and ensuring our work creates measurable results.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead client relationships and manage them for profitability
• Understand client organization, goals and objectives, and develop strategic approach to assist client in reaching those goals leveraging digital media and channels
• Provide team leadership and oversee day-to-day activities including project planning, status reporting, billing/invoicing, and vendor and partner management
• Develop estimations and formulate pricing for all client work
• Coordinate staffing with scheduling department including identifying risks and building contingency plans
• Ensure deliverables are at the highest quality and within budget and time frame
• Understand and help advance Virilion’s business processes
